These are the activities this week for Adults with Developmental Disabilities, age18 and over.
Tuesday, April 1, 2025, from 3:15 to 4:30 PM. Ceramics in the Kiwanis Aktion Club Room at the Douglas County Community Center.
Wednesday, April 2, 2025, from 3:00 to 4:30 PM. Art Class in the Ceramics Room at the Douglas County Community Center.
Friday, April 4, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Friday Morning Activities in the Kiwanis Aktion Club Room at the Douglas County Community Center. This is a varied program of games, puzzles, reading, sports, gardening, and whatever else we feel like doing. Weather permitting, we will be out in the garden; so remember to bring the things you might need, like gloves a hat, a light jacket, and a trowel. We're helping the Adult Day Club and the Preschool get their planters ready for spring planting. It's a good thing that we started early because their planters are full of weeds. This is First Friday Movie Day. This month's featured films are Babe and Math Circus.

We will be taking a field trip to Kids & Horses on Friday, May 30. Staff will be telling us all about what they do and how they take care of the horses.
The DART bus is scheduled to pick us up at the Douglas County Community Center at 9:30 AM. We will be leaving Kids & Horses on the DART bus by 11:30 AM, returning to the Community Center by noon. If you want to ride the DART bus, you need to tell me by May 15.
You must be on the DART system to ride the bus. If you have never applied for DART, you need to fill out the application form. You can pick up the application in the office at the Community Center or print the attachment. Please return the form to me; so that I can keep track of your application.
If you prefer to provide your own transportation, we will meet you at Kids & Horses, 2869 Esaw St., at 10:00 AM.
Please let me know if you will be joining us and what transportation you will be using.
