This Week's Activities

These are the activities this week for adults with developmental disabilities:

Tuesday, November 11  is Veterans Day, a national holiday to honor all of the men and women who have served in the military, keeping us safe. The Community Center is closed.  DANCE CLASS IS CANCELLED.

Wednesday, November 12, from 3:00 to 4:30 PM.  Art Class in the Ceramics Room at the Douglas County Community Center.

Thursday, November 13, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.  LEGO Time in the Craft Room at the Douglas County Community Center.  Now that we have Lincoln Logs and balsa wood kits, too, we might change the name of this activity.  If you have suggestions, please let me know.  The picture shows Jacob and Ronnie with the fort and sheriff's office that they built with Lincoln Logs.

Friday, November 14, from 9:00 AM to noon.  Friday Morning Activities in the Kiwanis Aktion Club Room at the Douglas County Community Center. The Preschool asked for our help cleaning up their garden for winter.  Weather permitting, we'll be out there with clippers and tarps; so please dress ready for work on a fall morning.  Last week's movie was Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.  It is funny and really entertaining, but it is so long that we only watched the first half.  We'll watch the second half starting at 10:30 AM.
